‘The Originals’ season 2, episode 5 preview: Cami tries to calm Klaus down

Cami -We feel for Cami on “The Originals” at the moment, and mostly because she has what has to be considered a pretty impossible job: Trying to keep Klaus from doing anything too insane.

Is she going to succeed on “Red Door”? If nothing else, she at least convinces him to not take part in any killing … at least temporarily. Whether or not he changes his mind later is to be seen, and this could be an interesting / possibly emotional episode for the character. After all, remember here that this is the one featuring Nina Dobrev as Tatia, and we are going to dive into her story, and how it impacts both the Klaus and Elijah characters in different ways.

There may be a larger issue when it comes to the Cami character as a whole. While Leah Pipes is great and brings a great deal of energy to the role, there are also a pretty heavy contingent of people out there who are not exactly the largest fans of the character in the world. What’s the reason for that? It really comes down to how they may perceive her as someone who is trying to soften up Joseph Morgan’s character, or keep him from doing some of what he has become known for.

Ultimately, we feel like the dislike towards the character has more to do with there not being another given for her to do at the moment.
