‘Two and a Half Men’ season 12: Ashton Kutcher letting Charlie Sheen drama go
At this point, Ashton Kutcher must be very much tired of talking about Charlie Sheen. Ever since the premiere of “Two and a Half Men” with him, he’s had to endure everything from tabloid stories to constant comparisons between himself and the former star.
Also, anytime you bring up Sheen, it is basically poking the bear, and giving him an opportunity to speak out. So really, Ashton doesn’t want to say too much about the actor at this point, or some of the rumors about him.
During a chat on “Conan” last night, Conan O’Brien asked Ashton what he thought about Charlie saying that he wants to come back for the final episode of the show in some form. His response? That he has basically stopped listening:
“Charlie Sheen has kind of become like a parent on ‘Charlie Brown’ to me. It’s like ‘[insert Charlie Brown teacher sounds here]’ … and I just keep saying thank you for the great job. I’ve got an awesome job, and it’s thanks to you not having it anymore, so thank you.”
We actually felt very impressed by Kutcher in watching this, mostly because of how he talked about his job, which is such a cheesy TV show with very low-brow humor. He makes a ton of money on it (so it’s easy to like), but it is after this we could see him doing another sitcom. He’s gotten into so many other things lately, and sitcom work has the schedule that enables you to continue those ventures while making big money in the process.
