ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 4, episode 5 preview: Emily copes with Victoria’s latest threat

Sunday night’s “Revenge” is going to contain one drama shocker after another, and most of them revolve around the hope to answer one very specific question: How is Emily Thorne going to be able to handle her demons when it comes to her father? For so many years, she was willing to do anything and everything to clear his name … even if it meant hurting people in the process.

In the sneak peek below, these are things that Victoria Grayson reminds her of when she starts to list out how she is going to use her father David Clarke in her latest attempt to ruin her. The problem with this is that the moment that you actually start to list out some of Emily’s various indiscretions, it doesn’t really look too good for her. This is a woman who may have wanted to avenge her father’s death, but at the same time, we wonder if there will be a Walter White moment in here where she eventually admits that she did so much of this because she liked it. The fact that she continued her takedowns even after enacting her revenge should be proof enough of something.

Hopefully, the show does manage to get that Emily / David reunion on the screen fairly soon. Now that we know the man is alive and out there, anything else is wasting time. With that being said, we do hope that the man is a little less clueless about the world than he has been shown so far. He has not exactly impressed with his view on the world.
