‘Chicago Fire’ season 3 spoilers: When the firefighters are the victims (video)
On Tuesday night’s new “Chicago Fire” episode, we are going to see what can only be described as a pretty unusual situation for most of the firefighters. Typically, you see them rescuing others who are in need; the twist this time, though, is that they are instead forced to save themselves after a firetruck wreck leads to some pretty significant injuries.
Of the ones present in the sneak peek, Mouch seems to be in the worst shape … at least other than the truck itself. Given that this is almost a character in its own right, it’ll be interesting to see what happens when there is a truck missing, and how this impacts the ability of some of the team to properly do their job. Ideally, you don’t always want to have to go out there and put out fires, but sometimes, it does happen and you have to be prepared for it.
Ultimately, we see there as being two significant issues that come up in this episode, even if they are not entirely relevant to the contents of this clip on its own:
- Is Dawson going to be able to finally make a move forward in her career? The last we saw, she was struggling to really find a firehouse where she could actually have a full-fledged position.
- Are things moving forward well for Severide? His relationship with Lindsay was falling apart this past episode, thanks in part to how he was crumbling without Shay, drinking often, and basically acting out. You feel for him, but it’s a hard thing to deal with.
