‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4, episode 2 spoilers: Bo Peep, Charming, more in ‘White Out’

Elsa -

What “Once Upon a Time” ultimately did with its premiere episode “A Tale of Two Sisters” was pretty clever. They spent most of their time trying to adequately introduce the characters of Anna and Elsa, and also try to resolve the pain that Regina is feeling right now in the wake of Maid Marian returning.

All of this ultimately gave Ginnifer Goodwin a little bit of extra time away, after she welcomed a child into the world with Josh Dallas earlier in the summer. The two will have more to do in the second episode “White Out,” and the same also goes for Henry after he was by and large absent in the premiere. ABC likes to wait to release their synopses for new episodes until after the most-recent one airs, and you can see all details below:

“While desperately trying to find her sister Anna, Elsa is startled by Emma and accidentally traps them both inside an ice cave, with the frozen temperature placing Emma’s life in peril. Regina, depressed over her likely breakup with Robin Hood, secludes herself away from the town and Henry, which saddens her son. And with the townspeople considering Mary Margaret their leader, she faces her first leadership task in trying to re-start a generator and restore the town’s electricity after Elsa freezes and damages the power lines. Meanwhile, in the Enchanted Forest of the past, Anna tries to teach a meek David to fight Bo Peep, a brutal warlord who is threatening to take his and his mother’s farm away if they don’t pay her price.”

We had heard previously that Anna and Charming would have a history in some way, and this is further clarification of that. How did we miss out on the Bo Peep addition, though? This is probably a product of so many other headlines that this just got lost. For the record, this evil version of the popular character is played by Robin Weigert (“Sons of Anarchy,” “Chicago PD”).
