ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 4, episode 2 preview: ‘State of the Union,’ and Mellie, Fitz news
Did you enjoy the “Scandal” season 4 premiere? Well, you know that there is going to be plenty more ahead when it comes to craziness, surprises, and relationships. The one thing that we can say pretty much for sure is that now that Olivia Pope has managed to navigate her way back to Washington, do you really think that she will be taking off again anytime soon? That seems doubtful.
The second episode of the fourth season is entitled “State of the Union,” and there will be moments in here where you will remember that Fitz is a good President. This is something that was a part of the story tonight, and it will continue to be … even though his wife Mellie continues to struggle with the fact that she is no longer put together in the wake of her son’s death. Take a look at the synopsis below for some further details:
“In order for Fitz to make the biggest impact with his State of the Union address on gun control, Cyrus sets out to recruit a power couple (Mary McCormick and Josh Randall) who are influential on the issue. Meanwhile, Mellie’s personal struggle gets national attention.”
To us, one of the biggest mysteries out there revolves around one simple subject: When is Fitz going to see Olivia? Given that this is often a broken record, you’re not wrong or crazy to assume that this is going to happen … eventually. He is saying that he is not going to be around her for now, and Mellie has a simple request: Just to let her know when this is going to happen.
