‘Survivor: San Juan del Sur’: Rest of cast confirmed by CBS; plus, Exile Island returns

Survivor -After the first three “Blood vs. Water” pairs were announced for “Survivor: San Juan del Sur,” we knew that it was only a matter of time before CBS announced the remainder of them. What we have as a result of seeing the full cast is what looks on paper to be a pretty good group. We’ve got many of the same prototypes, and the only thing that we feel is missing right now is one of the typical “superfan” types like a Cochran or a Spencer that we’ve grown accustomed to.

You can see the first three pairs (which include an “Amazing Race” alumni) over at this link. Take a quick look at some of the other names below.

Drew Christy and Alec Christy – Brothers from Winter Park, Florida. Drew is a traveling salesman (which brings all sorts of fun thoughts into our brain), while Alec is a college student.

Jeremy and Val Collins – Married couple from Foxboro, Massachusetts. Jeremy is a fireman, and Val is cop. Will she claim she’s a cop? Tony’s got us all paranoid now!

Jon Misch and Jaclyn Schultz – Dating couple who met in college. Jon is a financial assistance, Jaclyn is a media buyer.

Keith and Wes Nale – More firefighters! Keith, 53, is a Shreveport fire captain, while his 23-year old son works under him.

Missy Payne and Baylor Wilson – This is a mother / daughter team. Missy, 47, runs a cheerleading gym in Dallas, while her 20-year old daughter is a student.

Dale and Kelley Wentworth – It’s a Washington farmer and his daughter! The twist here is that Kelley, rather than being a farmer, works in marketing in the big city (Seattle).

Jeff Probst tells Entertainment Weekly that there were two women who were going to be on the show as a pair, but they had to withdraw due to medical problems. Thanks to that, there are more men this season than women.

As for a twist, Exile Island is back! As some sort of result of a challenge, a family member will have to send their other family member there. The twist? there will (shocker!) be a clue to a hidden immunity idol there, which will be back at camp.

We’ve done it for every season, and of course we are going to be back doing some castaway spotlights throughout the weeks ahead as we get closer to the show returning on Wednesday, September 24.
