‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5 spoilers: Will Mona return after summer finale? Janel Parrish says…

At the moment, you may still be trying to wrap your head around the “Pretty Little Liars” summer finale, and we certainly would not blame you if that was the case. This was by far one of the most shocking episodes that we have seen on the show, and the death was one we truly didn’t see coming.

What Rosewood is and what will happen moving forward is still to be seen, since it will never be the same without the first person truly revealed to be wrapped up in the “A” conspiracy. But in a video posted by ABC Family after reaching a certain social-media threshold, Janel Parrish confirms that not only will she be back in flashbacks, but they will happen as early as the episodes coming up next year:

“I couldn’t believe it when Marlene King came and told me what was going to happen in the finale. But, don’t worry PLL fans, nobody is really gone from Rosewood … So I will be back next season in flashbacks.”

Parrish had confirmed already that she was going to return to the show in some capacity, but this was the first time that it was explicitly laid out that she will be back sooner rather than later. Mona is not your typical character, especially in that she still had plenty of information to hide that the other characters did not know about. This is what will make her past and what she knew so interesting to unravel now, especially as we get closer to answering one question: Has Alison really been “A” all along?
