‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4 spoilers: Prepare to meet Belle’s mother!

“Once Upon a Time” fans, the opportunity is almost finally here to meet another person key to the development of one of the main characters … and also surprisingly someone you have never met to date.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Adam Horowitz confirms that you are going to meet none other than the mother to Emilie de Ravin’s Belle at some point during season 4, and this marks one of the first real opportunities you will have to learn a great deal about her life before Rumpelstiltskin started to enter the picture. From our vantage point, this is something that the show needs very badly. They have spent a whole lot of time over the years instead focusing just on her relationship, and not giving her enough to do outside of that.

As for who could play the character, one of the great things about this series is that it’s a good in-demand show for guest stars. While it does require the travel out to Vancouver, it is such a positive, uplifting experience with diehard fans who will follow your every move. Also, there are always opportunities that this show will use you again thanks to their reliance on the flashback as a means to tell a story.

To us, all of this is especially welcome news right now given that it means we’ll get a chance to see more of the characters we do know on season. As happy as we are about meeting the show’s versions of Anna and Elsa, we also do not want them to overwhelm everyone else in the cast completely.
