‘NCIS’ season 12 spoilers: Meet younger version of David McCallum’s Ducky
Earlier this summer, it was announced that “NCIS” season 12 would introduce via flashback a younger version of David McCallum’s Ducky. Thanks to this. We could learn a little more about what eventually lead him to the lab, and made him the character that he is on the show today.
So who will get to play this particular character, only a few decades younger? We now have an answer for you. Sources confirm that former “2 Broke Girls” and “Mixology” actor Adam Campbell. Physically, we do see a certain resemblance between the two, and we could see this making for an interesting story.
There is not really a whole lot known about this episode just yet, other than that it will touch more on the character’s backstory, and hopefully continue a trend that we see more of throughout the season of specific stories that give more insight into the people on the team. We’re personally interested in seeing an episode that just follows the day of one of them, whether that be Tony, Abby, Vance, or someone else from start to finish. We basically see all of them through the lens of just NCIS, while we would like to find out more about what they do after work, their real-life friends, and also some of the other facets of their daily routine.
The new season premieres on CBS Tuesday, September 23, and the show will waste little time when it comes to accelerating the story. Be on the lookout for big things when it comes to Gibbs right away.

Really sad that they are rewarding David McCallum for making selfish disparing comments about Cote de Pablo leaving and wanting to do something else after 8 long hard wonderful years. McCallum who never was thought to be a very good actor but cute when he was 25 years old and who also had issues with his partner Robert Vaughn is now trashing someone else. I loved Robert Vaughn but he will never appear on NCIS because MCallum was mad at him for his contract issue. I have to say it took a little away from NCIS for me when he said those things. That should have been private. Was he trying to destroy her career?

Wow is this show showing it’s age. I’m not sure I care much of a Ducky back story. AT 83 years old and in an important job at NCIS I really think we should be talking of a retirement push from above. Was hoping for some interesting topics besides a Tony love interest (he’s almost 50 and never had a steady girlfriend) and sleeps in a miniature bed and all the Gibbs wives. Just makes the men look bad and weak. Not sure what happened to the great writing.

What a joke this show is getting to be. Who cares about Ducky as a young man. Really! One word ( boring). Bring back Jesse Stern.

I love Ducky so I guess that you don’t speak for everyone. At least it’s not another Gibbs back story.
