‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ spoilers: Evan Peters, Emma Roberts’ character names, more
The “American Horror Story” panel at San Diego Comic-Con this year was not entirely the most revealing one in the world, even if you were lucky enough to attend. There was not too much said about what sort of freaks would be turning up in the show’s elaborate freak show, even if you did get a chance to learn some of the specific characters’ names and relation to each other.
Since this may be one of the biggest revelations from the panel, let’s just go ahead and dive right into that, shall we?
- As previously reported, Sarah Paulson will play conjoined twins Belle and Dot Tattler. You can see a first look at her character here.
- Emma Roberts will be playing a character named Maggie.
- Kathy Bates will play Effil Darling, the ex-wife of Wendell and the mother of Jimmy.
- Michael Chiklis is Wendell del Tolito, a strongman who is the ex-husband of Effil, the husband of Desiree, and the father of Jimmy.
- Angela Bassett will play Desiree Dupre, the wife of Wendell.
- Evan Peters will play Jimmy Darlng, son of Wendell and Effil.
- Jessica Lange will play Elsa Mars, the operator of the Freak Show in Jupiter, Florida. She is also a German expatriate.
You can assume that at least a few of the characters we’ve mentioned above are freaks other than Chiklis and Paulson, but not much has been said about them just yet.
As for the Big Bad for the show, John Carroll Lynch will be taking on the role. He most recent appeared in many episodes of “The Americans” alongside “Do No Harm” and “Body of Proof.”
