ABC’s ‘Resurrection’ season 2 spoilers: The mysteries of Agent Bellamy
Through most of the first season of “Resurrection,” one of the primary questions that so many of us were discussing was what in the world happened to cause the residents of Arcadia, Missouri to return from the dead. That will still be a focus throughout the show’s second season, but there will also be a little bit more time devoted to figuring out just what the past was like for Agent Bellamy, who was somewhat-coy about what he went through prior to joining immigration and customs (which is where he was at the start of the show).
In elaborating on this information in a new interview with TVLine, show creator Aaron Zelman claims that this was a pretty intentional plan on their part in order to ensure that there was some significant ground for the series to cover when they came back on the air:
“The way we left off, there are a lot of questions that we have laid on Bellamy that we will be dealing with … It’s an ensemble show, but we will very much learn more about him, that there will be more of a focus on him.”
The interesting thing about all of this is that we originally thought that this show was only going to last for around a year or so, but it was around halfway through the first season when it was clean that this wasn’t going to happen. There will be a longer story moving forward, and one that will hopefully be stuffed full of more answers. We liked the original premise of the show, but it ended up in some ways becoming more bloated than it needed to be.
