ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7: Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic, off-season work, and rumors
This “Castle” story is somewhat of an amalgamation of many tiny “Castle” stories blended into one, mostly because of the fact that we’d rather give you a few different things to check out to get the weekend started right.
First, do you know where in the world Stana Katic is? Well, her Twitter account gives it away that she is in Florence working on a new project. We won’t give too much else away for the element of surprise, but we’ve heard from a number of people who have gotten a chance to see her that she has been very nice and gracious to the fans. She and Nathan Fillion spend so much of the year (think from around July until April) filming “Castle” that this is really the only chance that they have to tackle some other endeavors. Just remember if you see her out there, be just as curious as she is to you. (Really, the same should be said for all encounters, i.e. don’t chase them down at the airport.)
Now, Nathan Fillion – Nathan’s been hitting the convention circuit hard, and also has spent a little bit of time lately having to debunk rumors about his “Guardians of the Galaxy” cameo. The internet is a presumptuous beast, so of course one article speculating that he could be voicing the dog Cosmo led to it somehow becoming fact. As Nathan tweeted himself, that is not remotely true:
“With so much inaccurate ‘news’ about my involvement in GOTG, I’m actually losing faith in the internet. I’m not Cosmo.”
Quick rant time: Why do we need to know who Nathan is going to play in advance? We like teasing things about “Castle,” but never ruining them. The same should be said here. The whole idea of a cameo is that it’s something that should catch you off guard in some way.
Filming – While we’re hesitant to share an exact date, filming for season 7 starts around the middle of July. So start bracing yourselves for that, and for the influx of news that will likely come as a result.
