‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Details on Andi Dorfman, Marcus Grodd’s date
When we previewed Monday night’s episode of “The Bachelorette” earlier this week, we weren’t kidding when we said that there were probably going to be waffles somewhere in it. The show is in Belgium, after all, and there is nothing that ABC loves more than choosing the most obvious thing imaginable for each location.
Lo and behold, there will be waffles in Belgium, and the show will probably try to put them up on some grand pedestal. Also, this will probably make us very hungry for waffles. The moment will come during Andi Dorfman’s second date with Marcus Grodd, which you can find a little more information about in the synopsis below:
“Andi feels the need to reconnect with Marcus and decides to sample the best Brussels has to offer with him. Marcus opens up to her with a stunning admission. The couple taste everything from mussels to Belgian waffles as this earnest bachelor continues to profess his love to her. Over dinner at the spectacular Palais de Academies, Marcus shares details of his painful childhood. Andi is touched by his willingness to talk about such a private memory. There is romance in the air as things heat up after dinner. But will this all add up to a hometown date?”
The interesting thing to us about Marcus is mostly that he is the second guy to be getting an additional one-on-one date this season, and yet he’s been largely absent the past couple of weeks save for some passing moments. He really needs this to be that huge “date that changes everything,” since otherwise he really starts to run the risk of being buried by the show’s editors to the point where he has no chance at winning.
We reported yesterday that Andi’s other date of the episode is going to come alongside Josh Murray, and he also has quite a bit to prove after clashing with her on this past episode.
