‘Glee’ season 6 notes: Chris Colfer, Naya Rivera, and Jane Lynch updates
Even though “Glee” may not be on the air right now, this story serves as pretty good evidence that all of the stars have quite a bit going on in their lives … beginning with a guy in Chris Colfer who did something this past week that we find truly awesome.
Colfer is a well-noted fan of Hillary Clinton, and when she had a book signing for Hard Choices at The Grove recently, he decided to stand in line like every other fan before getting her autograph on the book. It’s a nice little reminder that there is still some humility here, even for a young guy who has won awards and starred on one of the biggest TV shows on the planet over the past five years (even if the ratings are no longer what they once were).
As for some other big news…
Jane Lynch on legacy – Remember Jane’s career before the show? It was notable, but mostly in the form of guest spots and the occasional scene-stealing role. This made her into a TV icon, and she is very well aware of it.
Speaking to the Associated Press while promoting her cabaret production, Jane explained how she feels about this show and what it has done for her career:
“It was a total game-changer. They would not have asked me to do `Annie’ if I weren’t on `Glee.’ At the time I was kind of known for the Christopher Guest movies. I was enjoying my career. I was happy doing guest spots here and there. But this really upped it.”
Naya Rivera’s new short – Naya made her directorial debut recently on “Love, America,” a short film promoting Immigration Heritage Month that features Americans from all walks of life metaphorically sharing their stories in New York City. Take a look at it below.

Chris Colfer is a freaking serious talent and I cannot wait to see him in “Noel”. He made us cry with “Struck by Lightening”! and have you READ any of his TLoS books? My 13 year old was crying her eyes out after book 2 and she is a moody moody TEENAGER! She didn’t even want to try them but I asked her to give it a chance. If Glee doesn’t give him justice with MAGIC in Season 6..(I am just going to be so grossed out!) not sure why Ryan M would let such a thing happen. Why dude? Why? Your a magical talent yourself… Why did you let them ruin Glee like they did? It could have focused just on NY with the main characters… for example: “Kurt” finding the real love of his life in NY (I loved Adam)… Man… that would have been awesome to see those kinds of sparks!
