‘Big Brother 16’ houseguest spotlight: The chances for Joey Van Pelt to win
We know that there are a ton of recruits in the “Big Brother 16” cast, but we at least like that Joey Van Pelt was included. We very much doubt that she is going to be a great player, but she has an awkward personality that should be interesting to watch and is one of the few women this season who actually is open in saying she gets along well with other women. She’s also very liberal, which should make for an interesting few minutes when she meets Caleb.

Name – Joey Van Pelt
Age – 27
Location – Seattle, Washington
Occupation – Makeup artist
Strengths – If there was someone who could actually start up a women’s alliance in this game and have it succeed, it could be Joey. She is passionate, engaging, and doesn’t seem content with just floating the entire way through. Even with that being said, there are few in the game who will label her a major fish to fry from the beginning.
Weaknesses – For one, she seems very awkward and scatterbrained, and if she gets nervous, it could mean that she is a horrible liar. She’s never going to win anything, and if she gets a little gung-ho about getting the ladies together, the guys could try to send her out the door almost immediately. She’s probably not going to be afraid to speak her mind, and that could be problematic.
Past houseguest comparison – She looks a little like Lydia from season 11, and maybe if you combined her with Ashley Iocco, you’d have something close to her. She’s a little bit of a ham like Britney Haynes, but isn’t anywhere near as funny.
Prediction – How well Joey does is really going to depend largely on if she can get out some of the huge physical threats early. If she can establish a female majority, she could go very far. However, if the right people win HoH early they could see her as a social threat, and get her gone before the jury.
