‘Teen Wolf’ season 4 trailer: Jill Wagner’s Kate Argent, Benefactor questions dominate

While you wait for the premiere of “Teen Wolf” season 4 on June 23, perhaps the latest trailer from MTV will keep you occupied! It’s action-packed, dramatic, and it is certainly the most comprehensive look at the season that the network has given us so far.

First things first, we have to talk about the latest Kate Argent footage. Before tonight, the only glimpse of Jill Wagner we had lately (save for that “Wolf Watch” aftershow) came at the end of the season 3 finale. In this trailer, she is back showing off her powers to kick butt and take names yet again, and it doesn’t quite matter whether or not she is in full were-jaguar mode.

One of the more interesting things about Kate’s return here is that she seems to be very interested in finding the Benefactor. This nefarious foe is someone who has been teased a couple of times now as a potential Big Bad for the season, but the show is being extremely coy right now in regards to both who this person is, and also what they want.

Also in this trailer, there is some of the typical fare that includes some romance, premonitions being made by Lydia, new characters, and also plenty of action and terror. If we had to guess at the season’s tone based on what little information that we have here, we would say that this is largely a combination of the two halves of the third season. The first part was a little action-heavy, whereas the third was more about horror and suspense.
