NBC’s ‘Hannibal’ season 3 spoilers: Boss on future of Gillian Anderson, Hugh Dancy
Is it fair to say that “Hannibal” delivered a number of shockers with its finale on Friday night? It’s pretty safe to say so. After all, this episode brought us not just the potential death of many characters, but also one who was “brought back to life” only to be seemingly killed off again.
Unfortunately, you’re not going to get much on the futures of Laurence Fishburne, Hugh Dancy, and Carolina Dhavernas for the time being. Creator Bryan Fuller obviously doesn’t want to give anything too significant away for the time being.
In going on a different subject, however, Fuller was a little more keen to share details. Speaking to IGN about the possibility of seeing more Bedelia on the show moving into season 3 as we saw her with Hannibal on the plane, he made it clear that he wants to have a whole lot more of Gillian Anderson:
“Yes, that is the goal. We are hoping, depending on Gillian’s schedule, that she would be a regular, but that’s all down to negotiation and her availability, and that sort of thing. But, you know, I went into Season 2 wanting Gillian to be a series regular and that’s definitely the intention going into Season 3, is that we would love a lot more of Gillian Anderson, because that’s never a bad thing.”
Do we want this, as well? Definitely. Anderson also brings a touch of greatness to anything that she is a part of, and was one of many great people who graced the show in the past year. Now, we just have to keep hoping that some other actors manage to return along with her.

the season finale was BRILLIANT, I fully expected everyone to die. I hope Alana is dead, she has sucked for a long time.

YES MORE GILLIAN!!!! true trivia: When Gillian auditioned for Scully, she had heard they were looking for a Clarice Starling type, so she went into her audition as Clarice. Having her on Hannibal brings it FULL CIRCLE. and her part in the story is huge.

I can’t wait to see what they are going to do with the Hannibal character next season. I would like to see more dark storylines, more manipulation with his patience and dig into why he’s so twisted.
