ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6, episode 22 preview: Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion, and Jack Coleman’s return

Just in case you thought that Monday night’s “Castle” stayed a little too much in the realm of doing very serious things, here is the big news coming out now regarding next week’s “Veritas”: You are going to have an opportunity to see something that will be hugely significant to Stana Katic’s Beckett and her future.

Before the wedding happens, you knew that some serious stuff was going to go down, right? Well, the official synopsis below for this episode proves that:

“A secret investigation conducted by Beckett related to her mother’s murder goes awry when a man she has been surveilling is killed. When evidence links Beckett to the victim, she and Castle become the targets of a manhunt that puts both of them in grave danger.”

Personally, we would like to see that the issue of her mother’s death wrapped up sooner rather than later, mostly because the show needs to establish some sort of closure on a few plots before it can really open the door to other new ones. We’d be shocked if 3XK is resolved this year (if he is still alive), but the murder of Beckett’s mother is a different story.

The promo below basically confirms what you may have known already regarding the return of Jack Coleman as Senator Bracken, while the major storyline beyond what the synopsis shows is that Beckett is actually going to be pinned for murder. This is something that Castle himself had to deal with in an earlier episode, but the stakes are even higher in this occasion.
