‘Suits’ season 4 spoilers: How Mike’s big move changes relationship with Rachel
There were surprises aplenty during the strong conclusion for “Suits” season 3, but one of the biggest ones has to be the big reveal that Mike Ross and Harvey Specter are going their separate ways … at least professionally. Just when it looked like things were going to completely fall apart for him, he managed to work it out and land himself a new career.
Where is this career? Think the world of investments. Mike now has done something we never imagined that he would, and at least at first, this could work out okay with him … even in his personal life. Just take a look at what creator Aaron Korsh tells TVLine about the matter:
“She’s very happy that he ends up taking the job. We start off with them in a very good place. Outside pressures will be placed on their relationship in a different way. But it will not be directly because he took this job. It will actually be as a result of him taking the job and in a very off-the-wall way.”
The fun and the challenge of the show is going to be continuing to rope Mike into the world of Harvey, Jessica, Donna, and the rest of the cast, since he’s so isolated now from where he typically seems them. You have to find that right balance of drawing out Mike’s new job to where it is interesting, but not keeping him apart for so long that the show feels disjointed, and you miss some of that natural chemistry. (Translation: Good luck!)

There should be more on legal issues of the day, rather than a soap opera with characters falling in and out of romantic relationships…
