‘Supernatural’ season 9 spoilers: Tessa the Reaper returns!

Check it out -Ready to get a major dose of an old favorite on “Supernatural” season 9? Then get ready for the news that for the first time in three years, Tessa the Reaper is coming back on the show! The current episode number that she is appearing in is currently unknown, but judging from the fact that she (per actress Lindsey McKeon’s Twitter) was just heading up to Vancouver, it’s probably not going to be one of the episodes coming up immediately after the hiatus.

Now, the larger question is what Tessa could be doing back on the show, since this is one of those characters that, from one standpoint, you don’t want to see. Why? It typically means that someone else is dead, and needs to be guided to the afterlife. We’re pulling for the “someone inconsequential dies” possibility, since it means that you get the best of both worlds: More Tessa, and not losing someone who we care about.

McKeon is joining a roster of a number of old “Supernatural” favorites who have found their way back to the show at some point this year. This includes Jim Beaver (Bobby), Felicia Day (Charlie), Kim Rhodes (Jody Mills), and others. These guest go along with some of the other recurring characters like now like Abaddon and Metatron.

Sadly, there is not too much known about Tessa’s return or her episode just yet, but as we get deeper and deeper into the month of April, more will consequently be revealed about everything that lies ahead. There’s a nice stretch of “Supernatural” coming, and while hiatuses may be as terrible as having to trust Crowley to do the right thing, at least you are getting many consecutive episodes until the finale.
