‘The Originals’ episode 18 preview: When will Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies return to TV?

Klaus -We’ve been teasing for a while now that the majority of CW shows tend to take a lengthy hiatus in the middle of March until April, and now we are at the time where this is happening. For those of you looking forward to getting more of “The Originals,” you will be waiting for a little while.

How long are we talking here? Think along the lines of a few weeks. Tuesday, April 15 is the show’s official return to the air. Thanks to that, there is not even an official title out there for the finale, or a synopsis courtesy of The CW. All we know is that this show has a pretty mighty challenge ahead of it when it comes to keeping viewers around.

The first obstacle that “The Originals” clearly faces right now is simply that there is no Rebekah, and the writers are probably still dealing with the ramifications of that. It is very hard to lose a series regular like Claire Holt so early in a show’s run, and if we are being completely honest, there are times that Tuesday night’s “Moon Over Bourbon Street” suffered without her. It was just not the same sort of story that it once was. Eventually, the show will figure some of this out, but it is going to take both a little bit of time and patience from fans.

As more good stuff on the show does come out over the coming weeks, we will consequently have more news to share!
