‘The Originals’ spoilers: Scoop on Daniel Gillies, Phoebe Tonkin, and more
“The Originals” so far has been a show all about choices, whether it be Klaus’ rise to power, Rebekah’s attempt to find her own place in the world, and almost all of the other stories that we have come to see the supernatural community of New Orleans take advantage of.
But is there any one person who is thinking of someone other than themselves? It seems like it, but in Elijah actually considering Hayley as more important than his family, he is simultaneously creating all sorts of issues for himself. For more on that, just take a look at what executive producer Julie Plec tells TV Guide about how he is going to struggle to make things right in the wake of what happened with him choosing Hayley over them:
“There is a guilt [and] shame attached to that … It definitely drives him hard to rescue his siblings in the next episode and to try to pull the family back together even as it’s under assault.”
Elijah has an interesting road ahead, especially since he has so many different things on his plate. He has loyalty to a number of different people, and he is also a certain someone who is at his heart a person who is good. He doesn’t want to do anything wrong to anyone, and that is something that he is going to have to contend with before this season comes to a close.
