‘Shark Tank’ preview: The Cookie Dough Cafe, Cow Wow Cereal Milk, and Steve Tisch
There is a lot to get to when it comes to previewing Friday night’s new “Shark Tank” episode, so we may as well go ahead and get to it. Let’s start here with the breaking news: There will be a guest shark! Steve Tisch is the executive vice president and chairman of the New York Giants, and he also happens to be a partner at Escape Artists Productions. Basically, he’s the only person with both an Oscar and a Super Bowl ring to his name. (Technically, Tisch has two Super Bowl rings.)
So who is Tisch replacing? Robert Herjavec, since the rest of the panel is going to be the same, with Lori Greiner there instead of Barbara Corcoran. (That is sad, mostly because Barbara is fantastic.) Let’s go ahead and at least give you some of the generic details now for the episode as a whole:
“There’s potential millions at stake when the Sharks recognize one irresistible product and a feeding frenzy ensues among all of them, including guest Shark Steve Tisch, co-owner of the New York Giants and film producer. Whose offer will win? This week’s entrepreneurs include sisters from Normal, Illinois whose gourmet edible cookie dough is meant to be enjoyed unbaked; Los Angeles entrepreneurs who’ve created organic flavored milk that tastes like what’s left in the bowl after you’ve eaten your favorite cereal; an IPhone app by a Georgia inventor that uses the phone’s built-in hardware to make it spin hands-free for panoramic picture taking; and an interactive workout technology from an Austin, Texas entrepreneur who brings out Olympic boxer Marlen Esparza to demo his product. Plus, we follow up with the Morganville, NJ owner of Pro-NRG, a protein infused water endorsed by the NFL’s Brandon Jacobs, in which Daymond John invested last season.”
There is some cool stuff in this episode, so let’s go ahead and spotlight our two favorites.
Cow Wow Cereal Milk – There are a few great cereal myths out there, and one of them is that milk after eating cereal is the greatest thing ever. We do to an extent agree with this, especially when you’re downing a bowl of Cocoa Pebbles and the milk is all rich and chocolate-filled in the end. This milk for kids is supposed to replace that. With that being said, we were the sort of kid that would have totally just taken this milk and used it in the cereal, just to see if we could make our brain explode with pure happiness.
The Cookie Dough Cafe – Apparently, we are writing this while being really hungry. We have no idea if a shark is going to bite on this product, mostly because you have such things as margins and sales to consider. But we would totally buy this, and we also totally love that they sell a gluten-free product so that everyone can enjoy the joy of eating cookie dough. (Also, this is the kin that you can eat raw without having to roll the dice.)
