‘The X Factor’ UK: See photos of Luke Friend, Sam Bailey, Rough Copy, and top 12

Every year, “The X Factor” UK likes to make a big deal out of the period of time between the judges’ houses and the live shows, which is where the much-hyped “makeovers” occur for the contestants.

For some of them, these makeovers are much less substantial than for others. Take, for example, the boys from Rough Copy, who more or less look the same except for maybe some better clothes. We can’t really say that we dig the overall look here (pleather overalls… really guys?), but the red-and-black color coding is pretty sweet. These guys have always been pretty stylish, so there is really not that much to work on with them or some of the others.

One of the most dramatic makeovers, meanwhile, is for Sam Bailey, and you almost get the sense here that the producers were really hoping for such  She had the whole “unlikely singer” edit going throughout her audition, and her past background performing was never really talked about as much as her job working at a prison was. She is one of the favorites at this point to end up winning the competition, and is definitely the cream of the crop from the Overs.

Some of the other favorites right now include the likes of Nicholas McDonald from the boys, Kingsland Road from the groups, and Abi Alton and Hannah Barrett from the girls. It feels like we are in for quite a great competition this season.

What’s also notable about these photos? The first look at Miss Dynamix following the reveal that Sese Foster is pregnant with her second child. It’s no coincidence at all that Sese is sitting down in the photo, that way to hide the big baby bump reveal until the show this weekend.
