‘The Mindy Project’ season 2 spoilers: Could we see more James Franco in the future?
While the offbeat antics and career decisions of James Franco have caused him to develop quite the reputation (and also allowed him to become the subject of a Comedy Central Roast), what has made him such an interesting character is that he does choose his various gigs on TV depending just on what he likes to do. He won’t be deterred by whether it is a movie or a TV show, interpretative art piece, or stage production.
Therefore, the good news here is that Franco could be interested in returning to “The Mindy Project” following his story arc this fall, which is going to be continuing over the weeks ahead. If you do want to read a little bit more on that subject, just take a look at the very optimistic comments from series star Beth Grant to E! News:
“We had a great time with him. He’s the best sport. He was really joking around with us and doing improv and being goofy, because we’re pretty goofy over there, and he fit right in. We love him and he said he’ll come back. I hope we have him back.”
Ultimately, the more that we end up seeing from Franco on the show, the better off that we think that it will be. He fit in almost immediately in the role of a quirky and seemingly-perfect doctor who took the place of Mindy Kaling’s character while she was away in Haiti. At the end of the premiere, it was set up that there is going to be a fantastic battle that takes place starting next week, and we have to hope that it lives up to both the expectations and the big names.
If Franco comes back, it could be added to the myriad of other good news that is out right now concerning the show. After all, we’ve already heard that Adam Pally is now a series regular, and some other folks including Glenn Howerton are stopping by for a guest spot.
