‘Castle’ season 6 spoilers: First photo of Stana Katic, Lisa Edelstein together
Are you ready for Lisa Edelstein to charge into the “Castle” world? Then you are sure to love the latest photo of her straight from the show’s season 6 premiere “Valkyrie.”
It’s not exactly difficult to figure out just what is going on here: Edelstein’s character of McCord and Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) are in the process of some sort of investigation, as hinted by the strip of yellow tape behind them. Speaking to TV Guide (who first shared the photo that we have attached for you here), the actress explained a little bit about who her character is, and her relationship with Beckett:
“McCord becomes a mentor to Beckett and doesn’t quite understand why Castle is hanging around. What McCord’s done with her life is really inspiring and tempting to Beckett, but it is also threatening to the way of life Beckett’s chosen so far.”
Are we somewhat intrigued by the sole fact that Beckett and McCord seem to be wearing the same sort of badge, and is this a hint at something? It’s possible.
Meanwhile, Edelstein also opened up (if you are curious) about her frustration following the end of her time on “House,” which helps to really show just how ugly contract negotiations can get sometimes in the TV industry:
“I wasn’t happy with how my character ended at all. It was a really complicated and upsetting situation, which is why I decided not to do the finale. It was horrible and there was no amount of money that would have made it OK.”
We imagine that this has to be a bummer to spend years on a show and not get the closure that you want, and we just hope that it doesn’t happen here with “Castle.” We were worried about it with “NCIS” and Cote de Pablo, but it at least sounds like there is going to be some sort of ending crafted there.

Looking fwd to LE on Castle, she looks great. House had the potential to be one of the best shows ever but David Share F’ckd it up. It was so stupid how LE’s character ended in that show and the last season was sub par at best. Even the finale was not good, And the supporting actors on that show minus Hugh all slammed her which I thought was totally unprofessional.
