‘Teen Wolf’ season 3 spoilers: Why Peter is coming back

In the closing seconds of “Teen Wolf” season 3A, we had the end seemingly to stories involving Deucalion and Jennifer for the time being. While there is no confirmation that both are gone from the show forever, the tease at the tail end showing Peter’s return was all the proof that you needed that people once presumed dead could end up being back in some shape or form.

So what was in the decision behind bringing this character back? Speaking to E! News, executive producer Jeff Davis basically described this decision in particular as such:

“We like Peter a lot and we especially like Ian Bohen, but it’s hard. You want to have villains in your show, but you want to have believable ends to those villains as well, but sometimes they’re just too good … We’re talking about, like, ‘How can we bring Jennifer back?’ the other day on set.”

Just so you know, this quote is not meant to suggest in the slightest that this character is coming back; it’s just someone speculating on what could happen down the road if the writers wanted to get her back.

“Teen Wolf” season 3B is still a good ways away from its January 6 return, and therefore, we imagine that there are going to be plenty of things that we are surprised about. We know that an Asian theme will be dominant at times, as will scenes featuring Isaac and Allison that will put Scott in an interesting place. Basically, you can think of what Davis is doing here as giving you two separate seasons, but all for the price of one.
