‘Breaking Bad’ season 5, episode 13 preview: Walt, Jesse square off in ‘To’hajiilee’

A big break -On this week’s “Breaking Bad” season 5 episode, we had the beginning of a tense showdown between Walt and Jesse that was really set up by a case of mistaken identity. Because Aaron Paul’s character mistook a man for an assassin at the plaza, he has now escalated things to a level where he really will end up getting himself killed now if he is not careful. Todd’s uncle has been called in to do a job, and Walt does not know where Jesse is.

The most ominous part of the preview shown after tonight’s episode is merely the second of what appears to by Skyler and Walter Jr. standing at the car wash. Nothing significant is given away, but the two look legitimately afraid.

The full synopsis released by AMC is really hardly a synopsis at all: “Things heat up for Walt in unexpected ways. Written by: George Mastras, Directed by: Michelle MacLaren.” Given that MacLaren does excellent action sequences, though, maybe you can take something from that.

In case you are wondering about the interesting episode title of “To’hajiilee,” it is the name of an Indian reservation in New Mexico, which we are assuming serves as a setting for part of this episode. When you consider how much open space here could end up being desert, that is never good news for characters who want to stay alive.

What do you think is going to happen on “Breaking Bad” news week? Our full review for tonight’s “Breaking Bad” is here, and we will have more news as it becomes available.
