‘True Blood’ season 7 spoilers: Willa Burrell actress promoted to series regular
While you may have lost some actors through “True Blood” season 6, with the major loss being that of Todd Lowe’s Terry Bellefleur, we are at least pleased to confirm now that we are also going to be seeing some notable additions … including someone who ended up being a pretty popular new character throughout her run on the second half of the season.
According to Deadline, Amelia Rose Blaire has been promoted to series regular after appearing in almost every episode as the newly-turned vampire daughter of the late Governor Burrell. She is the second progeny of Eric Northman, and has bonded quickly with some other vampires … especially Tara, based on the fast-forward that we saw at the end of last Sunday’s finale.
She is clearly not the only new character from this past season to be sticking around for a while, given that Violet is still in a relationship with Jason Stackhouse in the flash-forward. Meanwhile, we fully expect Sheriff Andy’s only remaining daughter to also still be around. One of the only question marks for the time being is the vampire James, who was not spotted with Jessica when she turned up and offered to care for the Bellefleur family without any blood in return (a rare relationship per Sam Merlotte’s proposal).
“True Blood” season 7 will start production at the end of this year, and HBO has not announced whether or not the new season will be 12 episodes (as were the first five seasons of the show), or 10 like season 6 (which was an effort to accommodate the pregnancy of Anna Paquin). What we can say is that Alexander Skarsgard will still be around as Eric Northman somehow, and that there is no reason yet to lose hope for seeing Pan and Tara together … eventually.

It’s a shame that her talent was for naught.
