ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6 spoilers: A soap star in Nathan Fillion’s hostage negotiation

More of the latest -In a recent “Castle” season 6 article, we teased that there was going to be an episode that placed Nathan Fillion’s character into what has to be a pretty uncomfortable / unfamiliar position for him of hostage negotiator. Somehow, a guy who revels in lighthearted situations is going to be forced into something very serious, and the lives of others depend on him.

Now, we know who one of these said lives is going to be. According to Soaps in Depth, Billy Miller of “The Young and the Restless” has been cast to play the part of a quick-tempered Wall Street banker … and this is probably not a good thing to be when you are in the middle of a delicate / possibly violent situation.

Given that Fillion also comes from the soap world, we’re sure that there will be a mutual amount of respect between the two actors on set … even if we don’t know how much time the two are actually going to spend together, given that Rick is going to be outside of wherever this hostage situation is taking place.

Reports are that this episode is entitled “Number One Fan,” which brings to mind that creepy film of the same name. Are we going to have one of those creepy celebrity stalker situations on our hands? We reported recently that the criminal at the center of this will only speak to Castle, which would make sense if she was some sort of crazed fan of his work.

“Castle” will premiere on ABC on Monday, September 23, and this one is going to be a few episodes into the run. Meanwhile, some of the other stories coming up will include other reasons for Castle to freak out, from seeing a man who believes himself to be a time traveler to having to deal with the anxiety associated with the proposal.
