‘Parks and Recreation’ season 6 spoilers: Meet the doppelganger for Aubrey Plaza
“Parks and Recreation” is getting some serious burn out of their ideas for this coming season, and while we certainly understand that you may be upset about seeing Rashida Jones and Rob Lowe leaving, there is at least going to be that thoroughly-entertaining plot coming up involving the Pawnee vs. Eagleton feud.
So far, you’ve likely heard about Kristen Bell, Sam Elliott, and Billy Eichner playing the Eagleton versions of Leslie, Ron, and Donna, and with this bit of news, we are pleased to report that the fake April or “Fapril” has been cast. According to TVLine, the very funny June Diane Raphael (“New Girl,” “Burning Love”) is on board the show for this storyline as Eagleton’s Aubrey Plaza. She will bring some of her attributes to the table without a doubt, but she is also described as being almost like a cast member on “The Real Housewives” courtesy of her assorted drinking habits.
While there is a good bit of this cast that is starting to fill out, executive producer Mike Schur is still holding his cards close to the vest when it comes to the Eagleton version of Tom (Aziz Ansari), one of the more popular characters. Hopefully, this is something that can be revealed in the weeks ahead leading to the show’s premiere on Thursday, September 26 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, against the titan known as “The Big Bang Theory.”
With “Parks and Recreation” already being a very funny show, almost every move that they make will be heavily scrutinized. Let’s just hope that the story will fit the bill here.
