‘Suits’ season 3, episode 4 preview: The bi-coastal battle wages on

Suits -When “Suits” season 3 revealed their “Game of Thrones”-inspired preview earlier this year, it was easy to just label it an obvious way to promote the show using the star power of one Michelle Fairley, who is appearing in multiple episodes as the character Ava. At the same time, though, this show really does feel in some ways like the legal eagles version of the HBO hit: You have various people from difficult backgrounds all fighting for power, and they are willing to do anything and everything that they can to get it. There is lying, deception, humiliation, and of course cool outfits thrown into one giant melting pot. The only thing we’re missing is dragons.

Politics are almost always at the center of this world, and you can sense that there is going to be a problem arising on Tuesday night just based on the very episode’s title: “Conflict of Interest.” Then, when you read the full synopsis, you realize that it is only going to get worse:

“Harvey’s defense of Ava hits a roadblock when the interests of her murder trial are at odds with Louis’ work to thwart a hostile takeover of Hessington Oil by a rival businessman.”

This means that there is going to be quite a bit of careful wrangling ahead, with everyone doing almost anything and everything that they can in order to get the upper hand and to support their own client. You would think that a murder trial would take precedence over everything, but sometimes, that is just not the way that this world works.
