‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ preview: Melissa Gorga, Teresa Giudice, and awkwardness

When you watch the preview below for Sunday night’s “Real Housewives of New Jersey” episode, you may be met with a rather strange feeling: Everyone actually getting along. What is going on? When you are talking about the show, it’s extremely foreign, given everything that has happened over the past several years. Who expected Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga to suddenly mend fences? A few weeks ago, their husbands were coming to blows and now, the families are having dinner together!

For us, undoubtedly the nicest moment of this entire video comes with the conversation that happens with Teresa’s daughter Gia and Joe Gorga, who is technically her godfather. He realizes that he has not even remotely been the man in her life that he was hoping to be, and tries to figure out a way to make it up to her.

But has everyone else really changed? We’re a little doubtful, given some of the subtle sniping that is going on here between Melissa and Teresa, who have obviously figured out that fighting equals ratings at this point. (Then again, we almost feel like them getting along is so strange now that it may get more people to watch.

“Teresa reluctantly reaches out to Jacqueline for a sit-down, bringing them face-to-face for the first time since their ‘friendship divorce’ over a year ago, but things quickly derail at the mention of marital infidelity. Caroline worries about her children’s needs, but it’s her husband that makes a shocking demand. Melissa and Joe get a hot offer one of them can’t refuse, while Kathy spices up her sister Rosie’s love life.”
