‘NCIS’ season 11 spoilers: ‘Big Bang Theory’ assistant is McGee’s Delilah

NCISFor those of you anxious to see who was going to play McGee’s new squeeze Delilah on “NCIS” season 11, good news: The wait is over, and this long-hyped role has been officially filled.

According to a new report coming out now via TVLine, Margo Harshman, best known for playing the part of Sheldon Cooper’s assistant Alex on “The Big Bang Theory” this past season, will be appearing in possibly several episodes of the CBS juggernaut. We first heard about her role at the end of last season, and she is a quirky and inventive computer specialist that could end up creating some interesting moments involving herself, McGee, and also Abby. Yep, Abby is not going to be forgotten in the middle of all this!

For those of you wondering whether or not this casting means the end of Margo on the sitcom, don’t worry: Given that this is not an every-episode gig, and the “Big Bang Theory” shooting schedule is pretty comfortable, there should not be a problem for her to bounce between the two shows so long as she is comfortable doing so, and neither tries to increase her part to a series regular level. While Cote de Pablo is leaving the show soon, it doesn’t seem like Delilah is going to even be the spiritual successor to her in any way. It’s just another way to create some great dynamics for some of the other characters on the show.

Do you like the Harshman casting, or do you think that this new triangle of sorts is going to be a little … um, harsh on Abby? If you want to see what show boss Gary Glasberg had to say about the exit of Cote, be sure to check out the link here.
