ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6 spoilers: The comedic side of ‘Need to Know’

Remember that episode of “Castle” we told you about entitled “Need to Know”? At the time that some of the first details were unveiled about the hour, there was not that much to say, save for the fact that the producers were casting an actress to play one of the important roles.

Now, like any good sleuth, some of the pieces are slowly starting to come together here. According to TVLine, this episode will revolve primarily around a star of a 1990s cult favorite entitled “2 Cool For School,” which we are pretty sure is meant to be the show’s version of “Saved by the Bell.” Well, the old cast is reassembling for a new movie, but one of the cast members will end up dying in the process. Sad, right? Well, the show will probably add in plenty of silliness to ease the pain.

The easy assumption to make here is that if someone from this cast gets killed, it’s probably one of the co-stars who did it, right? We don’t think we’re really stretching anything at all to imagine one of them being capable of something like this, given that there’s many motives such as fame insecurities, jealousy or even syndication money. Plus, what better thing is there to imagine that Nathan Fillion quoting fake lines from a cheesy show? We prefer these lighter plots in many ways, especially now that we’re feeling better about where Castle is personally (even if the engagement is up in the air).
