‘Suits’ season 3, episode 3 preview: Harvey is Butch and the Sundance Kid

There’s something really appealing about the arrogance of a certain Harvey on “Suits” at times. The man is exceedingly arrogant, but at least seems well enough aware of it to bring us some great humor every step of the way.

For more on that, just take a look at the sneak peek below from Tuesday night’s new episode. In it, Harvey informs Mike that he is going to be accompanying him on his journey to see Ava in an effort to try and bail her out. Is that going to be a particularly kind and gentle reunion for Mike and Harvey? Not exactly. Instead, what we are more likely to see is plenty of chest-puffing as Mike temporarily feels fantastic about the prospect of working with his former partner in Harvey, only to later realize that Harvey does not exactly see him as an equal. Specifically, his discussion about who is Butch Cassidy, and who is the Sundance Kid, may be one of the more hilarious things that we have had the opportunity to see with this show.

Is there ever going to be the perfect sort of mentor / student relationship between these two? Probably not. It’s much like a serious version of how J.D. on “Scrubs” was desperate to have the approval of a certain Dr. Cox, who in turn was more interested in pushing him and helping him from afar.
