‘Suits’ season 3 spoilers: A new trajectory for Mike and Rachel

Are you pleased with the journey that we are currently on with Mike and Rachel on “Suits” season 3? We hope so, since the couple is going to be together for a long time. As a matter of fact, it’s going to be even longer than originally planned.

Does it surprise you at all to hear that the pair was originally going to split later on this season? It really shouldn’t, since these two could both be mayor for the town of “will they or won’t they?” if they really wanted to. We’ve seen them bounce around quite a bit already, and she definitely had a reason to kick him to the curb and never see him again, courtesy of course of the secret being revealed about his lack of real training to be an attorney.

But that didn’t happen, and Meghan Markle told Entertainment Weekly the following recently about the pair changing course from the original plan:

“They were planning on breaking us up at episode 10 … I know that it has now been completely restructured and re-conceived because they are enjoying Mike and Rachel as a couple too much. They don’t want to do it.”

Markle also talked about the progress that the pair as a couple has made, and why she is happy for them to be in the position that they are now in:

“If it took us two seasons to try to figure out if we could make it work, then maybe they take that time and really give us an opportunity to have something. Just like with any character, with any relationship that you have onscreen, when you can settle into it a bit more, you get to find what’s interesting about it, find layers and nuances. So I’m really happy that they’re really happy with it.”
