‘Bones’ season 9 spoilers: David Boreanaz on changes for Booth

The “Bones” season 9 panel at Comic-Con will be held in just a matter of mere minutes now, and there is a question that inevitably comes with that: Will we get a chance to witness some great entertainment? We certainly hope so, but before we come to that, why not share some more commentary from series star David Boreanaz?

The actor is making a little bit of a media tour prior to the panel, and in sitting down with TVLine, he explained that early on this season (which starts filming next week), the focus is going to be on trying make sure that Booth has a way to get out of this current mess when it comes to the engagement and the upcoming wedding:

“There are so many things that are going to be in Booth’s world … Obviously with the whole Pelant thing and him telling Bones that he doesn’t want to get married right away. He’s going to struggle with that in the first few episodes … There is going to be someone from Booth’s past who is going to come in and help him and even hurt him in the way.”

Boreanaz says that not every fan may like what happens in the scenes ahead, but their goal is to make the story interesting, and to bring both Booth and Brennan into some surprising places.

As for some details away from the show, Boreanaz explained that there is currently no plan for sure to have this to be the last season of the show, as he takes things day by day. Meanwhile, he also passed the buck on talking about the show’s move to Friday later this fall, saying that he has no control over it and that the fans have followed them no matter where they are in the schedule thus far.
