‘Big Brother 15′: Jeremy McGuire glosses over Aaryn Gries’ racist remarks

Jeremy McGuire

You knew that Jeremy McGuire’s “Big Brother 15” exit interviews were going to be entertaining, mostly from the standpoint that he has been someone all season long with a habit of never stopping to actually think at all about what he is saying. Therefore, why in the world would he start doing so now? Here is your quick answer: He wouldn’t.

What is interesting about his take on the Aaryn Gries – GinaMarie Zimmerman scandal involving their racist remarks is that while he at least seems to be cognizant of the notion that people are upset about some of what they said, he really does not have any interest at all in trying to be a part of them. Speaking to Zap2It in a new interview, he tried to excuse himself from the situation largely by saying that he was not around to hear too much of it:

“I’m not really quite sure. I can’t speculate too much on that. I think that they were nice to me [in the house], but that’s all I can really say about that. I don’t really know too much about what’s going on. I don’t know if I heard too much of it. I did hear a few little racial things, but I don’t know how bad it is.”

Jeremy went into one of his more specific uses of the word “Jew” in his Rob Has a Podcast exit interview, and said that while in retrospect he would not have used the same sort of charged language that he did, he did not mean it in “a mean way” and made many of his comments in front of someone who is Jewish.

So has Jeremy really learned anything here at all? He proclaims that he has, but anyone who follows these sort of shows knows that you’re not going to change your whole personality in a few weeks. These things take time, and Jeremy may need to digest what everyone really thinks about him before coming out on the other side.

Meanwhile, if you want to see what is going on in the “Big Brother” house without Jeremy present, just be sure to head on over to the link here.
