‘Game of Thrones’ season 4 spoilers: ‘Doctor Who’ producer to play…

Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones” has itself a new mystery, and it is one that perhaps “Sherlock” and “Doctor Who” writer-producer Mark Gatiss could solve. The problem? The mystery sadly involves Gatiss himself, so he’s not going to be much help at all in figuring this out.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Gatiss (who has also written “Doctor Who” novels and has appeared on the show a number of times in different roles) is slated to guest-star on “Game of Thrones” season 4, but unfortunately for many, it is for a part that is currently under a heavy veil of secrecy. One of the hot rumors online is that he could play a Tyrell, but nothing is confirmed; Perhaps we will learn more at the upcoming “Game of Thrones” panel discussion this weekend at Comic-Con.

If this panel goes anything like the ones that we have experienced in years past, then it is possible that we could be looking at an event that really shows off a good many of its guest stars. Most of them for the new season have been very effectively kept under wraps, but it also helps that HBO tends to cast lesser-known or British / Irish actors in the roles, who Americans are not traditionally familiar with.

No matter who he plays, we are excited to see Gatiss have an opportunity to take on a role that is outside of the shows that he works on behind the scenes, and “Game of Thrones” clearly sees something in him to book him for such a pivotal time in their history.
