Silo season 3 episode 4: The shocking truth about Bernard

Given that Silo on Apple TV is the sort of series that loves its twists, it is hard to be shocked by almost anything. Yet, were there still some jaws on the ground at the end of season 3 episode 4? We are willing to count it!

After all, the folks behind the scenes of the series had done a good job of keeping the fate of Bernard (Tim Robbins) under wraps the past few weeks. They had certainly suggested that Robert Sims killed him and yet, we technically never saw his dead body. Also, Common’s character is the sort who is also going to be thinking of getting an advantage however he can. If this means finding a way to take advantage of what Bernard knows, he is going to do that.

Technically, it is not confirmed at this point that it was Sims who brought down Bernard’s body deep within the structure, a spot where seemingly nobody would find him. Yet, Juliette has now found him and there are multiple questions that come from this.

1. Will this be a huge trigger for her memory? We know that for most of the season, Juliette has struggled to remember her time outside the Silo; she has managed to regain certain memories here and there and this could be an earth-shattering catalyst for her.

2. How much will Bernard share? Before this situation, he really kept his cards close to the vest when it comes to the Algorithm, the Safeguard, and/or really anything else that he knows. Because he is now in the spot that he’s in, it is not that hard to argue that he is suddenly about to become more forthcoming — though it does remain to be seen if that will actually be the case.
