One Piece season 3 premiere date: A July 2026 update

Is there a chance we are going to hear something more regarding One Piece season 3 between now and the end of July? We certainly do not blame anyone for wanting it, especially since the news is out there about production for the season being wrapped up.
Unfortunately, this is where we have to remind you that post-production for a show like this is not done in an instant. There are a ton of visual effects here, even if we are venturing into new territory with the series entering the Alabasta arc. That means new faces and new settings, but also more visual wonders at the same exact time.

So when it comes to thinking about potential One Piece season 3 premiere dates, the best-case scenario feels like May or June of next year and easily, the wait could be longer than that. Since we did have the launch of season 2 earlier this year, Netflix may not feel that much pressure to rush anything along, especially since it is so clear that we are getting a far shorter break this time than what we had between seasons 1 and 2.
In general, we anticipate that the rest of this month is going to be a ghost town when it comes to news on the next chapter of the show. If we are lucky we are going to get an approximate premiere date for season 3 by the end of the year, but even that is far from a guarantee. Right now, the focus for the streaming service will likely be on promoting a lot of their other properties. Meanwhile, at the same time, we do wonder if an early season 4 renewal would be considered, given that doing this allows there to be continued momentum, and also of course smaller gaps between episodes premiering.
