Is Connor Storrie leaving Criminal Minds: Evolution for good?

Following the end of tonight’s new Criminal Minds: Evolution episode, did we really see the end of the line for Connor Storrie as Lance? Based on the way in which it wrapped up, it is easy to guess so.

After all, how can Lance still be alive? He was seemingly taken out thanks to the Fan and really, we can’t be too upset when you consider that he was never meant to be around anywhere near this long in the first place. The Heated Rivalry star saw his arc extended mostly because showrunner Erica Messer and the whole team liked his presence — and with him such a huge star at this point anyway, it would likely be tough to get him back.

Speaking about the apparent end to this arc now to TV Insider, here is at least some of what Messer had to say:

“We really wanted him to just play a bigger part in The Fan’s journey. And so using him in that way of sort of a redemption arc for him, he comes in in Episode 4, and he’s pretty much a jerk, and then Alvez really enlightens us to maybe this guy doesn’t have anyone else in his life, all that kind of thing. So we wanted to step that out with the Laura of it all.

“It certainly seems like Lance gets killed. I mean, in some ways, we’re like, ‘You never say never because we didn’t actually see it.’ But yeah, at the end of the day, it felt like everyone in The Fan’s orbit was going to die. But I’m glad that we saw Lance’s character extending into the penultimate.”

Ultimately, we tend to think that moving forward, we can at least saw Lance had an impact — it just remains to be seen if the BAU will be able to stop the Fan for good in the finale.
