Big Brother 28 live feed spoilers: Week 1 Veto aftermath

The first Power of Veto Competition took place yesterday in the Big Brother 28 house, but where do things stand now? How can we prepare for the week ahead?
This is obviously one of those situations where we have to advise everyone to be prepared for almost everything under the sun still, given that people are still forming opinions of each other and beyond that, the Veto Ceremony is at least a solid day away. Yet, at the same time there is room aplenty to speculate, and we are more than a little bit happy to do that right now.

Mallory has won the Power of Veto after being nominated alongside Yash and Taylor, which means that Head of Household Dee wants to name a replacement nominee. Who will she choose? Well, it does feel as though she does not want to go with Melody, despite that being an easy choice for her at one point. We tend to think some of this is tied to the fact that Lyric, Melody’s close friend in the game, shares a lot of information with her; there is likely no real need to sever any ties there right now. She is leaning more towards Ashley, a name that has been brought up by multiple people in the house.
Why Ashley? She could be an easy pawn if the idea now is to get Yash out of the game and allow for an easy week. Also, this builds inroads with people like Haley, Kamu, and even Taylor, who have all suggested her at various points. It shows that Dee is listening … not that these are her primary allies at all. It seems as though her primary group is with Devens, Drew, Angela, and Barrett.
