We recognize that the NCIS: New York spin-off show is going to be launching at some point this fall, so why not set the stage with more casting news?

According to a report from TVLine, there are a whole host of faces joining the crime procedural spin-off led by Scott Caan (Hawaii Five-0) and of course LL Cool J reprising his role as Sam Hanna. As it turns out, some of them you may be more than aware of them already.

Take, for starters, Jennifer Beals. The industry icon will be playing Robyn Wells, the director of the New York Field Office who, per the official description, “leads with her intuition and is widely respected by her team.” Meanwhile, the other series regulars include Jacqueline Byers (Dark Winds) as Special Agent Andy Ross, Power Book IV: Force alum Shane Harper as Special Agent Wyatt Hill, and then 13 Reasons Why alum Devin Druid as tech specialist Sean Sullivan. Caan’s character is named Nick, and we’re eager to see what the dynamics are going to be here overall.

Ultimately, we are hoping that come August, we will start to have a little more footage for what is actually ahead. What does make the show unique here is that it did not have a traditional pilot at all, and barely even a tease that it could be coming. Sam did drop a few hints in his appearances on the flagship NCIS as to what could be coming, but it was hardly a big drop.

In the end, we really just want the show to be entertaining, but also something that feels unique from the rest of the franchise. That is what made the Los Angeles, Hawaii, and New Orleans shows unique in their own way.
