The Amazing Race 38 premiere date: A July 2026 update

We have officially made it to July, and that means we are a mere matter of months before The Amazing Race 38 is slated to premiere on CBS. With that, could we be getting an exact date sooner rather than later?

Sometimes we enter pieces like this with a measure of ambivalence as to whether or not a reveal is going to be coming. However, in this instance it is beyond easy to have confidence. We do not remember a standard TV season where CBS did not reveal dates by this point in July. By virtue of that we have to assume that more details are coming and within that, we are going to be learning something more within the relatively near future.

So what are we most likely looking at here? Well, the most likely scenario is that The Amazing Race returns in early October once the aforementioned Big Brother season wraps up. It will be paired on Wednesdays once more with Survivor, and we do believe the plan is to continue giving us 90-minute episodes as we have seen in the past. This means an opportunity to really get to know a lot of the racers.

Given that this season was actually filmed some time ago, we do also believe that CBS could share the official cast at this point virtually whenever they want. Yet, we do personally tend to think that they are going to wait until August or early September in order to do something like that. After all, they are not in a position where they have to rush something like this along at all.
