The Lincoln Lawyer season 5 premiere date: A June 2026 update

Is there a chance we are going to hear something more about The Lincoln Lawyer season 5 between now and the end of June?

Of course, it makes all the sense in the world to want a few more pieces of information here. First and foremost, let’s begin by just noting the rather simple fact that the cameras started to roll on the series earlier this year, and we are well-aware already that a good chunk of the story may already be laid out.

As exciting as all of that may be, here is where we do have to lay out the unfortunate reality that we are going to be waiting a little while still to see the legal drama return. Netflix has zero incentive to bring The Lincoln Lawyer back until at least 2027, mostly because they, like so many other streaming services out there, want to ensure that they have a season worth of content a year and do not do anything more than that.

So with all of that in mind, the only significant thing that we can say at present is that we are all going to be waiting a while to see the show back — and also to get some further announcement about it. In the interim, we still have to roll over in our head the idea that this is going to be the last chapter of the series. That may not be something that we want in any form, but it has seemingly been decided already.

What is ahead story-wise?

Well, for now the biggest thing that has been confirmed is that there is going to be a lot more coming from Cobie Smulders, which makes sense given what we saw at the end of last season.
