Power Book III: Raising Kanan season 5 episode 4: War and pain

As we get ourselves prepared to see Power Book III: Raising Kanan season 5 episode 4 on Starz, there is a lot to be prepared for!

First and foremost, we should note that there is a new installment coming to the network in seven days, despite it being the July 4 weekend a.k.a. a time when a lot of networks and shows will be off the air. We do think the network benefits from the fact that most viewers watch via streaming, meaning that they have a chance to come back and check it out at any given time. (There may still be a one-week break later in the season, mostly due to the fact that we often see it with programs on this network.)

Raq’s war with Kanan, Breeze and Stefano grows increasingly violent. Kanan’s deception of Tiana escalates. Jukebox’s misstep leaves her under threat.

Nothing about where we are right now comes as a surprise. After all, just remember for a moment that a lot of these people are not going to make it out of the show alive, with Kanan and Breeze obviously being big exceptions. Somehow, they will find their way to the other Power: Origins prequel coming to Starz down the road. The question is just what the emotional repercussions are for a lot of these people in the weeks ahead.

Ultimately, we do think the biggest jaw-droppers could be saved for the finale. Given that the show already killed off Lou at the start of the season, there may be a little less pressure when it comes to having to take out a lot of other big people from the equation.
