The Bear season 5: Jeremy Allen White on big finale
As many of you are more than likely aware at this point, The Bear season 5 is going to be the final chapter over at FX and Hulu — and yes, that is a tricky thing to consider! Once upon a time this was one of the biggest shows on TV and while it still garners attention, is it what it once was?
Ultimately, we are hoping that this final chapter is going to revisit the greatness of the first two seasons, and we are certainly entering it with a level of intrigue given that the future of the entire restaurant is at stake. It felt as though Carmy was going to be done in the kitchen at the end of last season and yet, something brings him back. What that is, and how that impacts him moving into the long-term future, remains to be seen.

For now, we are simply pleased to hear more from Jeremy Allen White himself about the process of saying goodbye and being a part of the series at such an important juncture. Just see what he had to say on the matter to TVLine:
“There was something really nice about, especially for Carmy, knowing there is a goodbye, trying to be incredibly present in the kitchen in this last service, Jeremy trying to be as present as possible, and ignoring the inevitable and the elephant in the room, which is the ending of this thing. And that’s the same for Carm: He knows where this is going, but he’s trying to like give himself over to the moment, and I felt very much in the same position.”
In the end, we do just tend to think that the cast and crew are going to remember this show fondly for a multitude of reasons, with the biggest one being how it has been such a unique entry in TV. It feels more like an extended play at times, both with the way it is filmed and also how so many scenes are in such confined spaces. We are certainly excited to see how it ends.
